One thing I’m already very grateful for having moved out to Denver is that after working for a couple of non-profits is that I’m more prone to give a couple of dollars here and there to people/groups who really need it. I almost always slip a couple of dollars to Planned Parenthood when I see them and now I just made a small donation to help a young girl get a medical procedure. I’m not breaking the bank to do this because my money probably would have just gone to Starbucks, so it’s nice to know that it’s going to someone who actually needs it. Not to toot my own horn or anything, but two months here in Denver and I already feel like I’m growing and I’m really excited about the person I’m going to be after this period in my life. I’m even more excited about the lessons I will learn and the challenges ahead later down the line.
